Ben Hanley

Ben Hanley (actually Benjamin Hanley, born 22 January 1985 in Manchester ) is a British racing driver.

By 2005, Hanley was active in karting and won several championship titles. In 2004, he was close to winning the World Cup, but a failure in the last race threw him back to sixth place. 2005 Hanley drove alongside kart race and race in the Italian Formula Renault.

2006 Hanley was added to the Renault F1 junior team. He drove for the team Cram Competition in the World Series by Renault and was one of the two races at Misano win. In the overall classification, he finished 8th place. In the following season, Hanley joined the Prema Powerteam. With two wins in Magny-Cours and Barcelona and four podium finishes in 2007, he was vice-champion of the World Series by Renault.

2008 Hanley was initially committed alongside Vitaly Petrov of Campos Grand Prix for the GP2 series. From the second race weekend in which takes place before the regular season GP2 Asia Series he also went to Campos Grand Prix and was able to drive out the podium in the race on the Indonesian Sentul International Circuit. In the overall ranking of Asia series he reached the 15th place.

In the regular season Hanley brought only in the sprint race at the Turkish Istanbul Park Circuit a point. Just before the fourth race weekend at Magny -Cours, he was released from Campos Grand Prix and replaced with Lucas di Grassi. However, it took Davide Valsecchi from Team Durango at the race in France. In the overall standings Hanley finished with one point the 24th Place.
