Ben Kantarovski

Benjamin "Ben" Kantarovski (* January 20, 1992 in Newcastle, Australia) is an Australian football player.

Career

Kantarovski signed in January 2008, yet 15 years old the first time a contract with the Newcastle United Jets, making him the youngest player in the history of the A-League, which was equipped with a professional contract. His league debut was 16 years old on August 15, 2008 against the Central Coast Mariners and presented with this use also the age record as the youngest player in league; but was already in January 2009, broken by his teammate James Virgili.

At the end of the season Kantarovski was within the association honored as player of the year and even though he is the only player for Australia was not available for league games in 2008 at both the U-16 Asia Cup and at the U-19 Asia Cup took part and in two months.

For the U-16 he scored in reaching the quarter-finals two hits in the U- 19, he came to a total of two appearances for the semi-finals. In both tournaments, the Australian team failed because of the choices of the United Arab Emirates. In the spring of 2009, he was first invited by coach Pim Verbeek in the training camp of the Australian national team, was not in the subsequent match against Kuwait but in the 18- man squad.
