Ben Kersten ( born September 21, 1981 in Wollongong ) is an Australian track and road racing cyclist.

Ben Kersten won the 1998 at the Junior Track World Championships in Havana the gold medal in the 1000 - meter time trial and silver in the team sprint. The following year he defended his title and won gold in the team sprint and bronze in the sprint. In 2003 he became the first Australian time trial champion and 2004 in the keirin. He also won at the Oceania Games 2004 three gold medals and one silver. In 2005, Kersten in the time trial again Australian champion, and he won in this discipline, the course of the UCI Track Cycling World Cup in Sydney. In 2006 he won the World Cup in Los Angeles, was four-time national champion, won the gold medal at the Commonwealth Games and silver at the World Championships in the time trial. The following year he became an Australian time trial champion and in the Omnium, and at the Ozeanienmeisterschaft he won bronze in the team sprint.

On the road Ben Kersten in 2005 won a stage of the Tour of the Murray River. Since 2009, he mainly focuses on street racing and won the prologue of the Tour of Atlanta, as well as the Cronulla International Grand Prix. Since 2010, he runs for the Australian Continental team Fly V Australia.
