Ben Lovejoy

Benjamin Lovejoy (born 20 February 1984 in Concord, New Hampshire ) is an American professional ice hockey player who is since February 2013 at the Anaheim Ducks of the National Hockey League contract.

Career

Ben Lovejoy began his career as a hockey player at Boston College, for which he was active in the 2002/03 season in Hockey East. From the 2004/05 season he played three years for the Dartmouth College in the ECAC. At the end of the season 2006/ 07 he played his first games in the American Hockey League for the Norfolk Admirals. For the 2007 /08 season, he went for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins on the ice. On 7 July 2008, he signed a contract with the Pittsburgh Penguins, but it was early in the season 2008/ 09 sent to the AHL to his former team and farm team of the Penguins, the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins. After good performances in the AHL Lovejoy was on 8 December 2008 his NHL debut for the Penguins in a game against the Buffalo Sabres, which ended with a score of 3:4. On 22 December 2010 in the home game against the Florida Panthers, he scored his first NHL goal.

Lovejoy was nominated for the AHL All- Star Classic in 2009 for the team PlanetUSA. His team won 14:11 against the Canadien All-Stars.

On February 6, 2013, was transferred in exchange for a fifth- round vote in the NHL Entry Draft in 2014 to the Anaheim Ducks.
