Ben Maher

Benjamin Maher, MBE (usually shortened Ben Maher called; born January 30, 1983 in London ) is a British show jumper.

Career

Maher began with eight years to ride and is considered one of the best riders in Britain. Maher was several times member of British Nations Cup teams.

In the Summer Olympics 2008, he participated on the mare Rolette in jumping. With the British team he finished fifth in the individual the 19th rank.

A year later, Maher was again a member of the British championship team and finished at the European Championships in Windsor 15th place in the individual standings. The British team, he finished in sixth place team score.

In February 2012, he was ranked 30 of the show jumping world rankings. At the Olympic Games in London in 2012, he won Tripple X gold in the team standings and finished third in the individual competition in ninth place. At the European Championships in 2013 he won the gold medal with Cella the individual silver medal, as well as with the team.
