Ben McLemore

Ben McLemore III ( born February 11, 1993 St. Louis, Missouri) is an American basketball player who is currently with the Sacramento Kings under contract.

College

McLemore had his first year at the University of Kansas, due to academic differences, suspend. He nevertheless participated in the training sessions of the team. So he started with the 2012/13 first for the Jayhawks. McLemore became one of the surprise players which promised him a high draft position in the NBA Draft. He scored in his first year 16.4 points, 5.3 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game and was named to the First Team All- Big 12 at the end of the season. Shortly after, he signed up for the NBA Draft.

NBA

McLemore was considered a promising candidate for one of the first five places, but slipped in the NBA Draft 2013 from at position 7, where he was selected by the Sacramento Kings. McLemore was awarded to the Western Conference Rookie of the Month for the month of November.
