Ben Mulroney

Benedict ( "Ben" ) Martin Paul Mulroney ( born March 9, 1976 in Quebec ) is a Canadian television host. He is the second oldest of four children of former Canadian Prime Minister Brian Mulroney.

Mulroney became known particularly as a host of the talent show Canadian Idol on CTV, the Canadian equivalent of Pop Idol and Germany sucht den Superstar. He also moderated, also on CTV, a daily entertainment magazine eTalk. He studied at the Université Laval and law at Duke University history. He is also a national ambassador for UNICEF. Prior to his television career, he wrote columns for the Toronto Sun newspaper; this is part of the Quebecor Group, whose board belongs to his father.

Mulroney belongs to a group of several children of former Prime Minister, that have been around the year 2000 to nationally known media personalities. The others are Catherine Clark (daughter of Joe Clark ) and Justin Trudeau and Alexandre Trudeau ( sons of Pierre Trudeau ).
