Ben Sidran

Ben Sidran ( born August 14, 1943 in Chicago) is an American jazz musician ( pianist, organist, singer), musicologist, journalist and producer.

Life

Sidran, who grew up in Racine, Wisconsin, studied from 1962 to 1966 at the University of Wisconsin- Madison, and then continue his philosophy studies at the University of Sussex in England. He did his PhD on " A Cultural History of Black Music in America" ​​; "Black Talk" (1972 ), the publication of book promotion, became a standard work.
