Ben van Oosten

Ben van Oosten (* 1955 in The Hague) is a Dutch organist and professor.

Oosten studied organ and piano in Amsterdam and Paris. He is a professor at the Rotterdam Conservatory. Focus of his artistic activity is the symphonic organ music. His recordings of sound recordings have been awarded with several record prices, the price of the German Record Critics' Award and the Diapason d'Or. For his services to the French organ music, he was appointed by the French government to Chevalier dans l' Ordre des Arts et des Lettres. He acts as titular organist at the Grote Kerk in The Hague.
