Benchalak District

Amphoe Benchalak ( in Thai อำเภอ เบญจ ลัก ษ์ ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) in the province of Si Saket. The Si Saket province is located in the northeast region of Thailand, the so-called Isaan.

Geography

Amphoe Benchalak borders the following districts (from the south clockwise): Amphoe to the Kantharalak, Si Rattana, Nam Kliang and Non Khun in the province of Si Saket, as well as to the Amphoe Thung Si Udom Det Udom and the province of Ubon Ratchathani.

History

Benchalak was on 31 May in 1993 as a small district ( King Amphoe ) was established by five Tambon were separated from Amphoe Kantharalak. On 5 December 1996 he was promoted to Amphoe.

Management

Amphoe Benchalak is divided into five communities ( tambon), which in turn into 64 villages ( Muban ) are divided.

There are also five " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations) in the district.
