Benedikt Kohl

Benedikt Kohl ( born March 31, 1988 in Berchtesgaden ) is a German professional ice hockey player who is since 2011 in the Grizzly Adams Wolfsburg of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga under contract.

Career

Kohl began his training as a hockey player in 1993 with the EV Berchtesgaden. About the selection of Bayer. Ice Sports Association, he came to the foot. There he was discovered for the DEL. The 1,80 m tall defender started his career at the young eagles Mannheim in the DNL. After good performances there the right shooter was in his first season at the Mannheimer ERC in the Baden- Württemberg- league on the ice. Before the season 2006/ 07 carbon was finally included in the squad of eagles and has since played mainly in the big leagues or 2nd Bundesliga at the Heilbronner Falken, the farm team of the Mannheim. For the season 2008/ 09, the Augsburger Panther borrowed from him. From the season 2009/10 he was officially in the Panthers under contract. In March 2011, Kohl signed a contract until 2013 at the Grizzly Adams Wolfsburg, which was an early extension, thanks to good performances until 2014.

Internationally

For German junior national teams Kohl participated in the U18 World Cup in 2006, the U20 World Cup in 2007 and the U-20 World Championship 2008 Division I, part. When Germany Cup in November 2010, he came to his first race for the A- team of the German Ice Hockey Federation and contested so far a total of 22 A- internationals.
