Benedum Center

The Benedum Center (formerly known as Stanley Theatre) is a theater building in Pittsburgh in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania. It was opened on 27 February 1928, currently has a capacity of 2,885 spectators. In 1987, the 43 million -US-dollar restoration was completed and the theater was renamed " Benedum Center". Even earlier it was called " Number One Auditorium of the U.S." by Billboard magazine. At present, mainly classical works and ballets are listed.

However, it is well known in the rock and reggae scene. Grateful Dead played two concerts at the legendary " Stanley theater ". In addition, here was the reggae star Bob Marley on September 23, 1980 his last appearance before he died in May 1981.
