Bengerstorf

Bengerstorf is a municipality in the district of Ludwigsburg pleasure Parchim in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. It is administered by the Office Boizenburg country located in the not office belonging to the city Boizenburg / Elbe. The municipality is divided into the districts Klein Bengerstorf, United Bengerstorf and Wiebendorf. No district is the status of settlements Beckendorf, Bretzin, Karrentin, dog bush, Rehmen, Saathorst, Steinfurt, Strittmatter comb and Zölkow.

Geography

The community is located about ten kilometers northeast of Boizenburg / Elbe at the Schaale whose river in the range of Bengerstorf is under protection. The Bretziner Heath was designated as a nature reserve since 1975.

History

In the Bretziner Heath Barrow evidence from the Bronze Age from a very early settlement.

Great Bengerstorf and Karrentin were first mentioned in 1230 as villages in the country Boizenburg records in Ratzeburg tithe register.

Great Bengerstorf was incorporated into small Bengerstorf on 1 July 1950. Today's church was established on 1 January 2005 from the merger of the previously independent municipalities Klein Bengerstorf and Wiebendorf. In the district Wiebendorf a neo-Gothic residential housing estate was built in 1880-1886. Wiebendorf documented in recent years in the state competition "Our village is beautiful - Our village has a future" front seats. In the United Bengersdorf a Niederdeutsches hall house is worth seeing.

Culture

Since 2007, with the annual pond & sound cultural festival from May to June, a festival of music and theater at the central village pond of the district United Bengerstorf.
