Benito Lorenzi

Benito Lorenzi ( born December 20, 1925 in Borgo a Buggiano; † 3 March 2007 at the hospital, " Sacco ", Milan ), nicknamed " Veleno " (poison), was an Italian football player.

Career

Lorenzi began with his hometown club Borgo, was from 1946 at Empoli in Serie B and came in 1947 from FC Empoli to Inter Milan in the Serie A. With this club he won the Scudetto in 1953 and 1954. His debut at Inter was 6-0 against Alessandria on September 28, 1947 on July 12, 1958 at Como - Inter 0:3 he finished his career at Inter ( in 314 games, he scored 143 goals) and then played one more year in Alessandria in Serie A (25 games / 4 goals). As an international, he graduated from 1949 to 1954 a total of 14 caps for Italy, scoring four goals. Lorenzi took in 1954 at the World Championships in Switzerland in part. In 1959 he finished his playing career in Italy's top soccer league.
