Benjamin Bloom
Benjamin Samuel Bloom ( born February 21, 1913 in Lansford, Pennsylvania, † September 13, 1999 in Chicago) was an American psychology professor.
Work
Bloom researched and taught at the University of Chicago in the educational sciences. His special attention was paid to the study and description of learning and associated learning theory. 1956 led Bloom at the University of Chicago, a group of psychologists who developed a taxonomy of learning objectives. He distinguished three main areas that should stimulate all learning: the cognitive, affective and psychomotor. He gained worldwide fame through the he developed 6-stage taxonomy of educational objectives in the cognitive area of learning (knowledge and intellectual skills ), which was later extended to the other with David Krathwohl and for all learning goal dimensions.
