Benjamin Siegrist

Kevin Benjamin Siegrist ( born January 31, 1992 Therwil ) is a Swiss football goalkeeper.

The 1.94 meter wide choice goalkeeper of the U-17 national team is currently at Aston Villa under contract and is in the squad of the U-18 team. On 15 November 2009 he won the Swiss U-17 national team's World Cup in Nigeria and won the Golden Glove as the best goalkeeper of the tournament. The performance of the U -17 and Siegrist in particular during this World Cup have been recognized extensively in the national and international press. The FIFA Technical Study Group designated Siegrist in its report as " responsive [n ] goalkeeper with good positional play, strong both on the line and at edge Balls ".

In May 2011, he was nominated by U-21 coach Pierluigi Tami for the preliminary squad of the Swiss U- 21 for the U -21 Football Championship 2011. At the end Siegrist also managed the jump to the final squad. In the tournament itself Siegrist was only goalkeeper. The Switzerland reached the final. At the Olympic Games in London Siegrist part of the Swiss squad.
