Benjamin Starke

Benjamin Strong ( born November 25, 1986 in Cottbus ) is a German swimmer.

Benjamin Strong launched from 1993 to 2007 for PSV Cottbus 90 and later for the SG Neukölln Berlin, where he was coached by Norbert Warnatzsch. 2007 won the float the national title over 200 meters butterfly, which was the first title for the butterfly specialist. Several times he was able to achieve more titles and top rankings. He also appeared in a number of individual routes and relays at the World Swimming Championships in 2005 in Montréal, the European Swimming Championships in Budapest in 2006 and the World Swimming Championships in 2007 in Melbourne. In the German Swimming Championships 2008, Strong could qualify with second place behind Rupp Rath for the 100 - meter butterfly route and also for the freestyle relays at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing. The 121 German Championships 2009 in Swimming in Berlin Strong swam about 100 meters butterfly in 51.47 s a new German record ( 50-meter pool ) and thus met the qualification standard for the 2009 World Championships in Rome by the German Swimming Federation ( DSV). Together with Helge Meeuw, Hendrik Feldwehr and Paul Biedermann presented Strong with the 4 x 100 meter medley relay in 3:28,58 min in Rome a European record of what's behind the 3:27,28 min in a world record floating U.S. quartet to Michael Phelps meant winning the silver medal.

After the 2012 Olympics Strong had an injury sidelined until the end of 2013 and is currently completing a study.

Strong began 2012 with the tennis player Sabine Lisicki a love relationship. Both have separated in 2013.
