Benjamin Wess (born 28 July 1985 in Moers ) is a German hockey player and member of the German national team. He is the younger brother of Timo Wess.

Wess played for the first time in the national team on 16 August 2005 in a match against India in the Amsterdam RaboTrophy, his debut in the U16 team he had on 13 April 2001 ( 3-2 against Spain in Barcelona). He was a player in the hockey league in the Crefelder HTC. With this he won the 2007 European Champion Clubs' Cup. Wess it scored the decisive goal in a 1-0 victory over Atlètic Terrassa.

Since the 2007/2008 season Wess plays along with his brother Timo for Rot-Weiss Cologne, with which they have risen from the second to the first Bundesliga. His first major tournament with the German national hockey team was the 2007 European Championship in Manchester, ranked in the Wess with the German team to fourth place. In the 2008 Olympics, he won the German team gold. He was 2009 European Cup runners-up England and 2010 in India World Cup runners-up behind Australia. In February 2011, he was part of the successful team at the Indoor Hockey World Cup 2011. In August 2011 the German team won at the Field Hockey Championship in Mönchengladbach in the final against the Netherlands. Wess 2012 with the German team European Indoor champion.
