Benny Borg

Artie Benny Borg ( born November 13, 1945 in Gothenburg ) is a Swedish singer. He lives in Norway since 1969.

Borg was in Europe in the 1960s with the beat band Streaplers go and also sang a German Schlager. With the title Do you remember the spring he won in 1968 at the International Song Festival of the Baltic countries. In 1972 he won together with Grethe Kausland the Melodi Grand Prix and was therefore entitled to participate in the Euro Vision Song Contest. With the hit Småting the duo reached place 14 From that time appeared of his albums, some of them together with his then-wife Kirsti Sparboe. From 1974 he also had performances with the music comedy group Dizzie Tunes. Borg is also known for his Elvis imitations or his Johnny Cash performances.
