Benoît Cheyrou

Benoît Cheyrou (born 3 May 1981 in Suresnes ) is a French footballer who is currently under contract with Olympique Marseille.

During the season 1999/2000, the central midfielder denied to his brother Bruno Cheyrou the side his first professional appearances in the Ligue 2 at OSC Lille. Due to the rise of his club a year later he was pleased about his first appearances in Ligue 1. In his third year at the Northern French, he was also the first time a regular player and even played four games in the UEFA Champions League. Benoît Cheyrou was promoted in the next two years more to service providers and eventually moved to AJ Auxerre before the season 2004/ 05, as Lille could not qualify for an international competition.

When AJ Auxerre he spent three years as one of the pillars of the team and also took always participating in the UEFA Cup.
