Benoît Lamy

Benoît Lamy ( born September 19, 1945 in Arlon, Luxembourg Province, Belgium, † 15 April, 2008 Braine -l'Alleud, province of Walloon Brabant, Belgium) was a Belgian film director and screenwriter. Lamy had his international breakthrough in 1973 with the cult comedy Sweet Home. For his debut to a revolt in a nursing home, he won the Stars Claude Jade and Jacques Perrin as a nurse as a social worker. The film won 14 international awards, including the best film at the Festival of Montreal and the Jury Prize at the Moscow Film Festival. With his works Ardennes ham and The Man in the elevator, he created small attention without success to be able to continue with them on the success of his first-.

Benoît Lamy was found dead at his home in Braine -l'Alleud on April 15, 2008. His life companion Perceval Ceulemans was indicted for murder.
