Bentley (Alberta)

Bentley is a small town in Alberta, Canada. It was named after George Bentley, a first settler, named. In Bentley, there is a primary school, a high school and a church kindergarten.

History

The first settlers arrived in 1888 from the United States. From Lacombe from, where was the nearest train station, they reached the settlement. 1890, she received her first church, 1903 the first school. Three years later, Bentley was recognized as a village. 1916 there was a big fire in Bentley, in which the southern part of the village was destroyed. In 2003, the village became a town.
