Beovizija 2007

The 5th Beovizija ( Serbian Cyrillic Беовизија ) took place on 8 March 2007, instead of a semi-final the previous day. It was the Serbian preselection for the Euro Vision Song Contest 2007, which took place in Helsinki in May of this year. The Beovizija 2007 was discharged from Serbian Broadcasting Corporation ( RTS) in the Sava Centar in Belgrade.

Regulate

In previous years, served as Beovizija Serbian advance Scheid for the event Evropesma, also in the Montenegrin songs competed for the Serbian- Montenegrin ticket to the Euro Vision Song Contest. After Montenegro withdrew from the confederation, the Evropesma became obsolete and abolished because of that. Also in the Beovizija there was then changes. Instead of a finale with always more than 20 songs a semi-final was preceded with 20 contributions from the ten qualified for the final. The vote was changed, the jury and the televoting were now equal.

From the contributions submitted more than 200 selected Anja Rogljić, Ana Milićević, Zoran Dašić, Jelena Ilić, Nikoleta Dojcinovic, Miki Stanojević and Bilja Krstić from the 20 semi-finalists.

Semifinal

The semi-finals of Beovizija took place on 7 March 2007 and was - as the Beovizijas 2005 and 2006 - by Jelena Jovičić and Boda Ninkovic moderated. The broadcast was televised RTS1 and RTS satellite, the satellite station of the Serbian diaspora. In addition, the mission of the Internet could be seen via a live stream. The jury consisted of the semifinal Branislav Dimitrijevic ( 1), Aleksandar Lokner (2) and Maja Japundža - Nikolić ( 3). During the evaluation, the previous year's winner, Flamingosi occurred, which also for their song Ludi letnji ples the price received for Best Beovizija contribution of the previous year.

Since the end of the jury vote both the group negative than ten also Suza Dinić of each one jury member points - and no other - had received, a ballot was conducted under the jury members, who could decide for themselves negative. Prava star but would also otherwise qualified. The exact vote was published a week after the semifinals.

Final

The following day the final was held, which was in turn moderated by Jelena Jovičić and Boda Ninkovic. In the course of the show the presenters sang several songs that had previously participated in the Euro Vision Song Contest ( Hard Rock Hallelujah by Lordi, Wild Dances by Ruslana, Everyway That I Can by Sertab Erener, Shake It by Sakis Rouvas ) in the scoring break were the awarded Serbian music awards, also entered the ESC representatives from Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia and Montenegro with their competition entries on. The appearance of the Montenegrin Stevan Faddy agent was partially acknowledged by the audience hall with boos.

The role of the judges in the finals took Sandra Šuša ( 1), Zafir Hadžimanov (2) and Bebi Dol ( 3). Bebi Dol took the SFR Yugoslavia at the Euro Vision Song Contest 1991.

Euro Vision Song Contest

As Serbia took for the first time, it had the Euro Vision Song Contest 2007 first by the semi-finals. This won Marija Šerifović with the then record score of 298 points. In the final, Serbia received nine of 41 potential maximum ratings, and won with 268 points, ahead of Ukraine with 235 points. This is the first time in the competition's history that a country with his first post of the Euro Vision Song Contest won. The Euro Vision Song Contest 2008 was subsequently held in Belgrade.

The background chorus of Šerifović formed after the competition, the group Beauty Queens and took part in the 2008 and 2009 respective Beovizija.
