The Korean barberry (Berberis koreana ) is a plant of the genus Berberis (Berberis ) in the family of Barberry Family ( Berberidaceae ). The home of Korean barberry is located in Korea.
Description
The Korean barberry is a deciduous ( deciduous ) to 1.5 meters tall shrub. The growth is upright, the branches are dark brown and furrowed, the thorns from one to three parts, sometimes mehrspitzig, and up to 1 inches long. The leaves are ovate to elliptic, to 7 inches long, annoying network and wedge-shaped at the base. You are on the upper side medium green with sometimes reddish veins on the underside blue-green and mottled. In the autumn the leaves turn bright red. The flowers are yellow and are available in May 10 to 20 in up to 6 inches long racemes. The berries are spherical shaped and bright red.
Use
Like many other barberries also finds this sort being frequently as an ornamental shrub use.
