Bereborn

Bereborn is a municipality in the volcanic Eifel region of Rhineland -Palatinate. It belongs to the municipality Kelberg.

Geography

The place is located in the High Eifel at the foot of the nature reserve Hochkelberg, about 18 kilometers northeast of the town of Daun. North of the village stems from the Elzbach.

To Bereborn includes the living space Weilcheswieserhof.

History

By the end of the 18th century Bereborn included in the County Virneburg. Under the Napoleonic occupation of the site was community in the Mairie Virneburg.

During the municipal reorganization of Rhineland -Palatinate and the formation of association of municipalities Kelberg, the community Bereborn came on November 7, 1970 by the same resolution Mayen down to the district (now county Volcanic Eifel ).
