Berg Municipality

Is a municipality (in Swedish kommun ) in the Swedish province of Jämtland County and the historic provinces of Jämtland and Härjedalen. The main town of the municipality is Svenstavik.

Passing through the municipality, the European Route 45 and the Inland Railway.

Geography

The mountain community is one of the larger area municipalities in Sweden and extends from the southern reaches of the lake Storsjön 135 km west to the Norwegian border. The municipality is located mostly in the Scandinavian mountains. The highest point is the summit Helagsfjället with a height of 1,796 meters.

Economy

Agriculture and forestry have with an employment rate of 7% ( realm cut 2%) above average importance. The community is weak industrialized, mainly small businesses, while the tourism plays an important role.
