Bergamasco, Piedmont
Bergamasco ( Bergamäss Piedmontese ) is a municipality with 761 (as of 31 December 2012) a population of Alessandria in the Italian province (AL ), Region Piedmont.
Geography
The town lies on the lower reaches of the Belbo ( Tanaro river system / Po ) at an altitude of 125 m. The municipality covers an area of 13.3 km ².
The neighboring municipalities are Bruno ( AT), Caretino, Castelnuovo Belbo (AT), Incisa Scapaccino (AT) and Oviglio.
Specialty
In Bergamasco vines of Barbera for the Barbera d'Asti, a red wine are grown with DOCG status.
