Bergshausen is a municipality with 642 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013 ) in Styria in the judicial district or the district of Leibnitz. On January 1, 2015, is joined on the wine route and Retznei in the Styrian municipality structural reform with the communities honor Hausen, ratchet, the new community will be called Ehrenhausen on the wine route.

Bergshausen located on the eastern start of the South Styrian Wine Road on the border with Slovenia.

The municipality comprises the three villages (in brackets population as of 31 October 2011):

  • Ewitsch (404 )
  • Wielitsch (229 )
  • Zieregg (15 )

The municipality comprises the cadastral Ewitsch and Wielitsch.

History

Admont Monastery was the owner of the Office Wielitsch. The abolition of the manorial system was carried out in 1848. Zieregg The municipality was created in 1850. Ewitsch and Wielitsch 1931 were extracted from the community honor Hausen and from 1 January 1932 merged with Zieregg to a new community that took the name Bergshausen. After the annexation of Austria in 1938, the community came to Reichsgau Styria, 1945-1955, she was part of the British zone of occupation in Austria.

Coat of arms

The award of the municipality coat of arms came into effect on 1 September 2002. Coat Description: divided by red and green by a lowered silver three mountain bar, for this outer top in the form of a tree of life a silver vine of grapes and two four leaf growing with two green in the bar -reaching vine leaves; from the sign foot grows a silver smock.
