The edge of mountain beach is approximately circular, with the exception of the southwest, where the comparatively large satellite crater mountain beach Q penetrates the outer wall. Otherwise, the crater rim, down to a tiny crater superimposed on the southern edge, only minor signs of erosion. The crater floor is drawn fairly level and only a few tiny craters.
