Bergverlag Rother

The Bergverlag Rother is a German publisher based in the Upper Bavarian Oberhaching. Since 1950 is the publishing house that formerly operated under the name "Mountain Publishing Rudolf Rother ", in collaboration with the German Alpine Association, the Austrian Alpine Club and the Alpine Club South Tyrol Alpine Club leader out.

History

The publishing house was founded on November 16, 1920 in Munich by Rudolf Rother sen., A bookseller and climbers, as alpine specialist publisher. The publisher went out of the bankrupt publisher Walter Schmid Kunz, was in the Rother shareholders.

After the publisher had sold in the 1980s, the publisher's shipping Bookstore, the magazine " mountains " and the in-house print shop, took over in 1990 Freytag -Berndt and Artaria KG the family business.
