Berkane Province

Berkane (Arabic إقليم بركان ) is a province in Morocco. It belongs to the Oriental region, and is located in the northeast of the country, right on the border with the Algerian province of Tlemcen. To the north it borders on the Mediterranean Sea. The province has 270 328 inhabitants ( 2004).
