Berkeley [ bɑ ː klɪ ] is a village in Gloucestershire (England), on the River Severn, 27 km north- north-east of Bristol.

Berkeley is the birthplace of Edward Jenner. On the Castle Berkeley Castle in 1327, Edward II was murdered. In Berkeley there is the abandoned nuclear power plant Berkeley.
