Berlin Brandenburgish dialects

Südmärkisch is a ostmitteldeutscher dialect, which belongs to the Berlin -Brandenburg. The best known form of this dialect is Berlinisch. The peculiarity of this dialect is the fact that it combines in a large area of low and high German features in it. This can be explained by the conversion of Middle Low German dialect, which was spoken in Frankfurt ( Oder), by the High German influence in an East Middle German dialect.
