The train station Berlin -Friedrich Hagen is a suburban rail station in the district of Berlin district of Treptow- Köpenick. It is located north of the town center at the Lower Silesian - Märkischen railroad.

History

The station was opened on October 23, 1842, together with the rail link between Berlin and Frankfurt ( Oder). With the enlargement of the distance to a private northern suburb pair of tracks, the station was raised to 1903 together with the distance of around six meters in order to ensure a crossing- free operation. The station itself was doing her still existing station building and the central platform with the typical Berlin roof support form. Architects of the system were Karl Cornelius and Waldemar Suadicani who designed other stations along the route. East of the station a two-pronged reversing facility was built for dropouts.

With the "Great electrification " of the electric suburban operation started on the track to Erkner on 11 June 1928 in parallel, the steam-powered commuter trains was taken back to October of the same year. Since December 1, 1930, at the "Electrical " under the still valid name "S -Bahn ".

After the end of World War II, the suburban route to Erkner was completely dismantled. The second main track was restored at the station in 1957.

Connection

The station is served by the S -Bahn line 3, which runs from east cross and Erkner.
