Berlin rocket launching site

The rocket airfield Berlin was the starting place of the "Association for Space Travel " in Berlin -Tegel. It was established in 1930 on the site of a former shooting range and used for development and testing of liquid rocket. Built and tested missiles were mainly of types Mirak and Repulsor, where there was often explosions. The achieved peak heights of the rockets were initially just below 100 meters, later peak heights were reached up to 4000 meters. On September 30, 1933, the missile Tegel Airport was closed because of a water bill was not paid.
