Berliner FC Alemannia 1890

The BFC Alemannia 90 ( officially: Berlin football club Alemannia 1890 eV ) is a sports club from Berlin. The first team in the football department is currently playing ( season 2013/14 ) in the division of Berlin, which corresponds to the German football league system the seventh- highest division. The football department stepped 1998-2013 under the name Berliner FC Alemannia 90 Wacker. The venue of the association is the Wacker Place in Berlin- Reinickendorf, northeast of the airport Tegel, with a capacity of about 5,000 spectators.

History of BFC Alemannia 90

The club was founded in spring 1890 as SV Jugendlust Berlin in 1890 and a little later renamed BTuFC Alemannia 90 Berlin. In 1945 the club was disbanded on the orders of the occupying powers, in its place, the SG Prenzlauer Berg -West was founded. In 1948 the old name Alemannia 90 Berlin was to be accepted again.

1904-1908 Alemannia played the märkische Championship and was able to win three times in a row from 1905 to 1907. In the 20s the club played in the then prime Oberliga Berlin before he dismounted in 1929. 1924 and 1925 the club managed to qualify for the final round of the German Cup in 1924 but lost the 1st FC Nuremberg with 1:6 and 1:2 SpV 1925 Duisburg. 1924 won the Berlin Alemannia championship, beating North - West Berlin. 1907 and 1925 the club reached the final twice at the Berlin Championship, but lost in 1907 against Viktoria 89 Berlin and 1925 against Hertha BSC.

After the Second World War, the club played until 1956 in the Berlin city league, which was the highest league in West Berlin from 1950. After the Berlin runner-up in 1946 was the last major success of the finals at the German Amateur Championship in 1957, which was lost to VfL Benrath in front of 80,000 spectators in Hannover with 2:4. Since 1975, the club is only unterklassig active.

On 2 June 1994, the longtime neighborhood rival Wacker 04 Berlin was disbanded of bankruptcy. The members of Wacker were then in Alemannia. As a concession to the footballers of Alemannia Wacker were obtained initially as SG Wacker Alemannia and from 1998 as BFC Alemannia 90 Wacker. The name Wacker does not appear in the register. For the 2013/14 season the Alemannia will compete without the addition of Wacker.
