Bernardino Zapponi

Bernardino Zapponi ( born September 4, 1927 in Rome, † February 11, 2000 ibid ) was an Italian novelist and screenwriter.

Zapponi worked as a critic for La Repubblica and began as a writer at L' Espresso and the satirical magazine Marc'Aurelio. He wrote numerous radio, television shows and variety programs before, he succeeded as a screenwriter for movies. He frequently collaborated with Federico Fellini.

He founded his own newspaper, Il dela gates, wrote plays and published prose. For the screenplay for Fellini's Casanova, he was nominated for an Oscar; In 1982 he was awarded the Nastro d' Argento for Il Marchese del Grillo. Zapponi honor a film award was named.
