Bernardov

Bernardov ( German Bernard village) is a village in the Czech Republic. It is located 13 kilometers east of Kolin and belongs to Okres Kutná Hora.

Geography

Bernardov is located in the northwestern foothills of the Iron Mountains, between the valleys of Doubrava and Elbe.

Neighboring towns are Kojice and Chvaletice in the north, Hornická čtvrť in the northeast, Zdechovice in the east, in the southeast Horusice, Sulevice and Lišice in the south, Habrkovice the southwest, Kobylnice in the west and Záboří nad Labem and Vinařice in the northwest.

History

Was Bernardov the end of the 17th century by the owner of the domain Nové Dvory, Bernard František Graf von Věžník, established on the site of an earlier Court of free men Lukavecký of Lukavec. He built an estate to which he settled ten Fronarbeiterfamilien. The village was first mentioned in 1700 and was the Nové Dvory submissive.

After the replacement of patrimonial Bernardov formed in 1850 a district of the municipality in the district Kobylnice Kutná Hora. In the 1920s Bernardov became an independent municipality and came 1950 to Okres Přelouč. The local government reform of 1961, the municipality was re- assigned to the Okres Kutná Hora. With the beginning of 1980 the incorporation took place after Mikuláš. Since November 24, 1990 Bernardov again forms a community.
