Bernd Gersdorff

Bernd Gersdorff ( born November 18, 1946 in Berlin ) is a former German football player.

Career

Clubs

Gersdorff began his career in 1965 in the Berlin at the Regional title holder of the previous year and Tennis Borussia changed in 1969 in the Bundesliga for Eintracht Braunschweig. For the violets he scored 45 goals in 100 games. In addition, he completed 13 ascent round matches in 1967 and 1968, in which he scored three goals.

His Bundesliga debut on 16 August 1969 ( 1st Round ) ended with a 2:3 defeat at FC Cologne 1; He scored his first Bundesliga goal a week later in the home game against Hannover 96 per head butt in the 90th minute for a 1-1 draw.

In Brunswick, the striker was like a regular player and also made the German champions Bayern Munich 's attention. For the 1973/74 season he moved to Bavaria and was from 1 to 12 Matchday each in the starting lineup. During the winter break of the 1976/77 season he moved to Hertha BSC. In the Berliners he became one of the most popular players, and remained so until his last league game on January 19, 1980 ( 18th Round ). With the encounter " Eintracht Braunschweig - Hertha BSC ( 3-1 ) " and its replacement in the 46th minute for Holger Brück ended his career of 301 games and 68 goals scored in Germany. To round off his footballing career, he moved to the U.S. and was there for San Jose Earthquakes and the San Diego Sockers in the North American Soccer League ( NASL ) active.

National

On 3 September 1975 he was in the starting of the senior national team, the national team of Austria, defeated in Vienna by two goals from Erich Beer, his later teams, 2-0; it remained his only 'A' game. However, he denied on 8 October 1975, an international match for the B national team that won 2-0 against Duisburg in the selection of Romania.
