Bernd Hollerbach

Bernd Hollerbach ( born December 8, 1969 in Würzburg ) is a former German football player and current football coach.

Career

Hollerbach began his career with the ASV Rimpar. In 1988 he played for the Kickers Würzburg, with whom he managed to climb into the Bavarian League 1990. There he took his good performances and moved during the winter break to FC St. Pauli in the Bundesliga. There he could not avoid relegation and then played four years in the 2nd Bundesliga. In the season 1994/95 he managed with FC St. Pauli promotion to the Bundesliga, but transferred to 1 FC Kaiserslautern. He remained there for only half a year and then moved to Hamburger SV. With the HSV he played until 2004 in the Bundesliga and won the 2003 League Cup.

Hollerbach as a hard left-back ( " Holleraxt "), which brought it almost every season to over 10 yellow cards was known. In total, he received 98 yellow and 3 red cards to his Bundesliga times. Only Stefan Effenberg received more warnings, but with much more inserts.

After his eight years HSV- time, the trained butcher took a coaching job at VfL 93 Hamburg. On 1 July 2006 he became coach of VfB Luebeck in the Regionalliga Nord. After two defeats in a row that represent the greatest advancement ambitions of the Hanseatic city dwellers in question, he was fired on February 28, 2007. In June 2007, he was obliged by the German first division club VfL Wolfsburg as an assistant coach alongside Felix Magath. In July 2008 he also took over the second team in the Regionalliga Nord. For the second round took over Lorenz -Günther Köstner the second team. At the end of the 2008/ 09 German Hollerbach was as an assistant coach of VfL Wolfsburg champion.

For the 2009/10 season Hollerbach moved to the side of Felix Magath as assistant coach for FC Schalke 04, where he worked until March 2011. After Felix Magath's dismissal on 16 March 2011 Hollerbach broke a day later, together with his fellow coach Werner Leuthard his contract with FC Schalke 04, and then moved on 18 March 2011 with Felix Magath and Werner Leuthard back for VfL Wolfsburg. On October 25, 2012 Hollerbach left after the dismissal of the club Magath at his own request.

For the 2014/15 season is Hollerbach coach his home club Kickers Würzburg ..
