Bernd Schuster ( born December 22, 1959 in Augsburg ) is a German football coach and former player. 1980, it was European champion.
Playing career
Association
Schuster began his football career in 1971 at SV forge Augsburg and moved in 1976 to FC Augsburg. In 1978 he made his debut in the Bundesliga at the 1 FC Köln, in which he is playing for convincing secured a place in the defensive midfield.

National
Schuster made his debut in May 1979 in a 3-1 win against Ireland in the German national soccer team. In the years 1999 to 2001 he was part of the technical staff of FC Barcelona. He then signed a two -year contract with Deportivo Xerez in the Spanish second division. In the summer 2003, he moved to Shakhtar Donetsk, where he was released on 5 May 2004. For the season 2004 /05 he took over as coach at UD Levante in Spain's top league, the Primera División; He was released there because of lack of sporting success on 1 May 2005. Then, on 20 June 2005, he signed a contract with the Spanish side Getafe until 2008. Bernd Schuster was married until 2011 with Gaby (* 1953) and has with her four adult children. Since his involvement as a coach in Spain, the two live apart. In September 2008, Schuster was a father again. His partner Elena (born 1978 ) gave birth to a daughter.
