Book " Earth Song "

The 2004/ 05 published photo book ( text author: Angelika Jung - Huettl ) combines large-scale, self-willed selected aerial images with geological and geomorphological factual texts. He describes the earth in terms of specific water, rocks and landforms, and is creating a new image of the Earth caused.

The classification of images and text follows an artistically - geographical themes:

  • Brief history of the earth
  • Water ( sea, rivers, lakes, reefs, etc.)
  • Badlands ( high mountains, tundra, etc.)
  • Desert (sand and stone desert, ice and volcanic deserts, etc.)
  • Green ( river and land forms, vegetation)

One goal of the band is to look at aerial photographs and remote views and the comparison of patterns the earth as a work of art. The images and themes are not - according to scientific typology or origin, but by their appearance - as in most textbooks. Introduction, the authors write to:

The unusual juxtaposition of about Arctic glaciers and tropical oceans opened striking similarities. The eccentric sequence - created from emotional and artistic perspectives - provides new insights into the genesis of the earth's surface. The book is published in six languages.
