Bernhard Stephan

Bernhard Stephan ( born January 24, 1943 in Potsdam ) is a German film director and screenwriter. Worth seeing for the general German public were his sensitive work about everyday life in the GDR.

Life

After graduation he joined the DEFA. In the film, Julia (1963 ) lives of Frank Vogel, he was an assistant director. From 1963 to 1968 he studied at the Gerasimov Institute of Cinematography. His feature film debut was For the Love still too lean? (1974 ) at DEFA. The period drama Jörg Ratgeb - Painter (1978 ), he was seen at the Berlinale.
