Bernt Johansson

Bernt Johansson ( born April 18, 1953 in Tidavad, Mariestad municipality ) is a former racing driver from Sweden.

It was founded in 1974 in Montreal with the Swedish team in the team time trial world champion over 100 kilometers. In 1975 he won the British Milk Race. The following year, he won at the Summer Olympic Games in 1976, again in Montreal, the gold medal in the individual road race and so was after Harry Stenqvist the second individual Olympic champion of his native country in road cycling. The track with a length of 180 kilometers, he completed in four hours, 46 minutes and 52 seconds so he let the second-placed Italian Giuseppe Martinelli to 31 seconds behind.

After he had moved after his Olympic victory turned professional, he finished 1977 in the overall standings of the Giro dell'Emilia the second as well as the Giro d' Italia and the Giro del Piemonte each third place. The following year he won the Giro dell'Emilia and was second in the Tour of Lombardy. In 1979, he reached the third place in the Giro and the Giro d' Italia dell'Appennino respectively. Two years later, he ended his active career.
