Bert Fortell

Bert Fortell ( born September 18, 1924 as Albert Fortelni in Baden bei Wien, Austria, † August 27, 1996 in Vienna ) was an Austrian actor.

Life

Fortell worked after the Second World War as a car dealer and received artistic training at Prayner Conservatory in Vienna. In 1948, he debuted in Sankt Pölten as Valentin in Goethe's Faust. More Stage stations were the Löwinger stage and a theater in Klagenfurt.

In 1952 he appeared at the Vienna National Theatre. From then on, he also received several major film roles as a lover and outdoorsman. In lightning to Maria he was a partner of Marianne Hold. He also turned a convinced communist two films in the GDR, the first was in 1956 Zar und Zimmermann.

In later years he played mainly at the Theater in der Josefstadt. His last major theatrical performances took from 1989 very successfully held in Felix Dvorak Berndorfer theater.

He is the father of actor Albert Fortell (* 1952) and Marius Robert Fortelni.

His wife was Gerda Fortelni († 2007).

Both grave site is located on Grinzing Cemetery (Group 3, number 55) in Vienna.
