Bert grave shaft ( born June 19, 1975 in Wittenberg ) is a retired German racing cyclist.

Career

Bert grew grave robbers in Seegrehna on at Wittenberg. First, he played football and was then lured by his older brother Ralf, in the meantime also a professional cyclist for cycling. In 1986 he started at the BSG Chemie Piesteritz with the cycling training. In 1989 he moved to SC DHfK Leipzig.

In 1997 he became a professional cycling team in the Agro -Adler Brandenburg. In 1999 he moved to Team Cologne and 2001 Phonak Cycling Team. In the years 2007 to 2011, he ran for the German team T-Mobile, or its successor U.S. Team High Road. The Road World Championships 2008 in Varese, Italy grave robbers recorded the greatest success to date in his career, when he and about a 40 second lead was superior to the Second World Champion in the time trial. In the years 2007 to 2009 and 2011, he came German time trial champion. At the Olympic Games in London in 2012, he was eighth in the time trial.

After the end of the 2013 season Bert grave robbers ended his pro career.
