Playing career

Coaching career

At the age of 27 years, Jacobs came to his first coach station. In Velox, one of the three previous clubs of FC Utrecht, he was but a year before he took over the fate of the newly founded club FC Utrecht. His best finish with the FCU achieved Jacobs was 1971/72 earned a sixth place. After four years the coach changed in the summer of 1974 to league rival Roda JC Kerkrade. There he took over from the set until February Fritz Pliska. With Kerkrade Jacobs has always played in the top third of the table. But the big league success did not happen.
