Career

Bert -Ola Nordlander began his career as a hockey player with the Wifsta / Östrands IF, for the first team, he was active from 1956 to 1963 in Division 1, the then highest Swedish league. Then he played ten years was up to end of his career for the league rivals AIK Solna, where he was one of the leading players. Because of his service to the club 's shirt number 5 was blocked by AIK and is assigned more than to any other player.

From 1979 to 1981 Nordlander served as head coach of Djurgårdens IF of the Elitserien.

Internationally

For Sweden Nordlander participated in the Olympic Winter Games in 1960 in Squaw Valley, 1964 in Innsbruck, 1968 in Grenoble and 1972 in Sapporo part. At the Winter Games in 1964 he won the silver medal with his team. In addition, he was in the squad of his country at the World Championships in 1962, 1963, 1965, 1967, 1969 and 1971. At the World Championships in 1965 and 1971, he won with his team each the bronze at the World Championships in 1963, 1967 and 1969, the silver medal. In the 1962 World Cup Nordlander won the gold medal with Sweden. As the best European team, the team was also European champion.
