Bertel Haarder

Bertel Geismar Haarder ( born September 7, 1944 in Randershof / Rønshoved at Rinkenis ) is a Danish politician of the center-right liberal party Venstre.

He studied political science. From 1982 to 1987 he was Minister of Education, and then to 1993 for teaching and research. 2001 to 2005 he was Minister for Refugees, Immigration and Integration Affairs in the first Cabinet of Anders Fogh Rasmussen, 2005 to 2010 he was Minister of Education and Church, 2010/11 Interior and Health Minister.
