Bertel Storskrubb

Alf Bertel " Bebbe " Storskrubb ( born April 24, 1917 in Jakobstad, † April 21, 1996 in Helsinki) was a Finnish athlete. At a height of 1.70 m his competition weight was 66 kg.

Bertel Storskrubb won the 400 - meter hurdles at the European Championships 1946 in Oslo. With 52.2 seconds he set a new Finnish national record and referred to Sweden Sixten Larsson, who also ran with 52.4 seconds national record, to second place.

At the 1948 Olympic Games in London Storskrubb difference at 53.5 seconds in the semifinals. With the Finnish 4x400 - meter relay Storskrubb took fourth place in the final.

Storskrubb won in his career total of 24 Finnish championship in athletics. In the 200 - meter race he won in 1943 and 1944, over 400 meters in 1936 and 1942 to 1947, over 200 meter hurdles from 1937 to 1940, 1943, 1946 and 1947, and over 400 -meter hurdles in 1937, 1940 and 1942 until 1947. He presented at 15 Finnish national records. In 1945, he was also a Finnish handball champion with his team.
